Design trends come and go, like the ever-changing seasons. Creativebloq.com has an interesting take on what the 2013 graphic design trends are predicted to be.
01. Geometric Design - Digital illustration will fight back against hand-drawn illustration
02. From Print to Digital - Designing based on the screen format in mind
03. Stripping it Back - Minimalism, especially in logo design
04. Luxury Printing - Enhanced experience for the consumer based on printing techniques
05. Acid Visuals - Combination of 80s/90s visuals, including vintage imagery and modern type

Sunday, December 30, 2012 at 02:56PM I am currently designing a logo for a returning client who is working to expand her business' versatility. She is adding a branch to her photography style, and will now be including photography as an art form, rather than just a snapshot of the current moment. Here's my design so far...

Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at 12:16PM For my friend's bridal shower, I decided to make a personalized print with both her and her fiancé's name and their wedding date. I also took a quote from one of my favorite books, "A Walk to Remember" by Nicholas Sparks. This was so easy to create, I can't wait to make another one!
DIRECTIONS:
1. Decide on the size of frame you are going to use. In this case, I chose an 8˝x 8˝ frame.
2. Design to your liking, while keeping the design within the frame size you desire.
3. Print on heavier card stock, just because it looks nicer. You can print your design at FedEx Kinko's, or even Office Depot.
4. Cut out the print. I found it easier to use a rotary cutter than scissors.
5. Frame it, and you're done!
